Fès -

Fès or Fez is a city located in northeastern Morocco, and is one of the country’s four imperial cities that has so much to offer tourists. Besides being the oldest city in Morocco, it is considered the country’s cultural and spiritual capital. It is divided into two parts: Fez el-Jdid, the new city, and Fez el-Bali, the old city. The latter is the most fascinating part of the city from a tourist point of view, and it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981,due to its extraordinary beauty and historical significance.

The beating heart of the Medina is the leather tanners’ quarter, where you can see the tanners at work, immerse yourself in the local culture, and buy handicrafts typical of Morocco. Most of the tanners’ stores are located in the Sidi Moussa area, where the leather processing is still carried out as it once was.
